My big 6 month boy!

Dillan is 7 months old today and he is on the move! He crawls and stands up everywhere. This everything we've done in his 6 months! 

He's learning on his little vtech color and music station. We went swimming and to the splash pad this month! Nini bought him a little puppy pillow pet, he loves anything puppy and even has a little puppy book, body scrubber and security pet.

He really LOVES playing with daddy's stereo, mainly banging on the top and spinning the knobs. 

He also makes a really funny sound and face when he breathes in through his nose and exhales quickly like the sound our puppy Olivia makes. It's so funny...and so are his little facial expressions!

We bought him some sunglasses that he doesn't quite fit yet, but still looks cool! Also his little costume came in the mail yesterday and we tried it on him, seems to fit and we're so excited for halloween! Dillan's gonna be a lobster and mommy & daddy are gonna be chefs! And we'll carry around a big stock pot! He's getting professional pictures done just before halloween so keep a look out for those!

In about a week we're taking a trip to California for our friends wedding so we'll be writing all about that adventure..and taking lot's of pictures! Here are a couple of Dillan's 6 month pictures!





First camping trip

We went up to the rim for our first campin trip with Dillan, he was just over 6 months when we took him. My family and i have gone since i can remember and probably before that! The weather was so nice with the night time lows in the lower 50's. It rained both nights we were there but we all made due. There were tons of mosquito's and we all got bit so much. Dillan however didn't get a one! Mama protected him :) It was a nice break from work and the hot weather

We got Dillan a jumper! He loves it! It's so fun to watch him bounce around in that thing. It's the best, i could watch him all day.

He got his first and second teeth in! It was the left first on 7/21/2010 then the second on 8/3/2010. They came in very quickly! We are giving him a wider variety of foods now and let him try avacado's which he liked in his feeder but not when we put pieces in his mouth.

He is also sort of doing a crawl thing where he would initially get into crawling position then sort of lunge forward onto his tummy then pull himself up, its funny but he's learning quick!

We went to Kiwanis wave pool for a birthday party and Dillan loved the water, i'm so glad he does! We also went to the splash pad for a baby shower and he loved that too. He crawled around and splashed a little in the water.

While taking a bath daddy made him a bubble mohawk and Dillan tasted the bubbles as well...

It was my mom's birthday and that meant it was time to get everyone together! We had fun with Nick's sombrero, especially Dillan & Hailey!

Food!

Well, it's official DIllan can start eating food. The doctor told us to first give him rice cereal so we tried that & he seemed to like it. Later on we tried baby food and then eventually gave him some fruit. He loves it! Can't get enough, i'm so happy he enjoys fruits and most foods.

Dillan played in his swing, we went to the park, to the splash pad and to top it all off he got his four month pictures! He also had to visit the doctor again for more shots! He is weighing in at 15lbs 5oz and he is 25in long. Doctor said everything is perfect!

Time flys!

This month Dillan is moving around so much, he even moves around in his bassinette during the night!

And sitting up in a highchair at a restaurant for the first time! It didnt last very long because his muscles got tired and he started to slip but he did very well! He's always being silly when he plays in his bouncer, we happened to catch him in a goofy spot and i guess he's grown a couple of new ears..

He's started taking naps in his crib during the day and he did great!

We had some more fun this month, we went to an ice skating rink and bundled Dillan all up! He didn't cry once and i actually think he enjoyed being all snuggled up. We also went to the park after pictures to feed the duckies and Dillan just stared right out onto the water..

We weighed Dillan this month and we're guessing he's about 13 pounds. He's also started laughing and sitting up, supported. He gets into crawling position, but can't actually crawl yet. We went and visited his friends who were born the same month as him.
